Who Am I?

I’m Baraka Waswa, a certified Business Analyst at Odoo, specializing in helping businesses address their operational challenges and streamline their processes through digitization using Odoo's integrated ERP solutions. My role involves understanding the unique pain points of each business and crafting tailored strategies to ensure smooth, efficient, and scalable operations.

What I Do

On a typical day, I analyze businesses across various industries, identify inefficiencies, and propose Odoo-based solutions to align their operations seamlessly. Running a business is complex, requiring multiple departments—from accounting and finance to procurement, logistics, sales, marketing, HR, and more—to work in harmony. My job is to simplify this complexity.

Beyond Business Analysis

I’m also a passionate data science enthusiast. I dedicate a significant amount of time to honing my skills in data analysis, visualization, and interpretation, as I believe data is key to understanding and solving complex problems. When I’m not immersed in work or data, you’ll find me exploring philosophical literature. I deeply admire the writings of Carl Jung, Fyodor Dostoevsky, and Ayn Rand, whose ideas continually challenge and inspire me. I also enjoy expressing my creative side through nature photography and have a particular love for art and paintings. While I dabble in painting myself (admittedly not the best ), I find joy in the process and the perspectives it brings. I play video games, board games too. Monopoly's my favorite.

April 2024 - Present | Project Manager: Odoo

Led end-to-end Odoo ERP implementations for 50+ organizations across the continent, optimizing workflows across Accounting, Inventory, HR, Sales, and Marketing, and supply chain.
Conducted in-person Odoo Academy training sessions for over 500 participants, delivering hands-on instruction across key modules including E-commerce, Point of Sale, Accounting, and Inventory.
Conducted technical and systems assessments to align ERP solutions with client operational and reporting needs.
Ensured end-user training and digital adoption programs for modules including Website, eCommerce, POS, HR, Manufacturing, and Project Management.
Supported data-driven decision-making through process automation and analytics dashboards.
